Throughout the day the range of activities that is on offer includes the ever so popular workshops in the B2 auditorium where you can learn how to play the Dhol, learn to shake a hip or two with a Bollywood and Fusion dance workshops.

All starting at midday, there will be various arts and crafts to information stalls located in the main foyer. For those wishing to get a bite, why not pop over to the café for some Afternoon Chai – a desi twist on a British classic.

Located on the 1st floor, there is the children zone where various activities will be on offer, including opportunities to learn a few words of another language.

New to the Mela and located in the Bubridge room there will be a talk about a Warwick University project called Colonial Hangover, running alongside an exhibition located on the 1st floor gallery. Using research on Jakarta and Coventry, the exhibition will explore the idea of hidden legacies. The talk will include The Migrants Tale – a spoken word piece by Nikita Shah – as well as a Q&A with Professor Matthew Watson.

Come along with friends and family and celebrate a day full of desi music and vibrant colours throughout the theatre.
