Belgrade Theatre Unplugged is a unique opportunity to hear extracts from forthcoming productions in a variety of interesting venues around Coventry and Warwickshire. The cast are a company of professional actors* who stage tasters of our forthcoming Autumn Season of produced work.

The plays will include our Coventry Blitz play, One Night in November, Charlie Peace: His Amazing Life and Astounding Legend, our new musical The Prodigals and a taste of 2014, with an extract from a play we hope to bring to audiences in 2014.

Belgrade Theatre Unplugged will be performed at:

  • The Lewis Gallery, Rugby School, Rugby
    Thursday 13 June at 7.45pm
  • Edgwick Play Centre, Foleshill
    Friday 14 June at 12pm
  • Draycote Water, Nr Rugby
    Saturday 15 June at 1pm
  • The Charterhouse, Coventry
    Saturday 15 June at 6pm

The Belgrade Theatre’s Community & Education Company will be performing extracts from their productions; Close to Home, Priorities, All the Moves and Ministry of Meh; at Draycote Water and The Charterhouse.

There will also be readings of the same plays at Compton Verney and The Butchers Arms however tickets for these events must be booked with the venue. Details below:

Join the Curator of The Lewis Gallery who will give a private viewing of artwork from Rugby School’s most talented students alongside readings of new plays from the Belgrade’s Autumn 2013 Season. Doors open at 7pm.

Edgwick Play Centre is one of Coventry’s two play centres, located in the Foleshill and Hillfields areas of the city. Stop by to hear some readings of forthcoming plays which can be seen at The Belgrade Theatre. Doors open at 11am

Indulge in a pre Fathers’ Day treat by enjoying readings from forthcoming Belgrade productions in the tranquil setting of Draycote Water. Bring a picnic or purchase a lunch from the reservoir’s recently re-opened café and enjoy a family day out with a difference. The performances will be held in the country park* near the visitor centre and will be well signposted. Doors open at 12pm.
*In the event if bad weather, the performances will take place in the visitor centre.

Join us for a tour of this 14th Century Grade II listed former monastery and readings from a selection of Belgrade Autumn 2013 productions in the landscaped gardens*. Bring a picnic or pre-order a luxury hamper and enjoy an early summer evening of entertainment.
