Lights! Camera! Action!

1927. Chaos in Hollywood. Cinderella primes her diva sisters for the red carpet, little do they know that shrinking violets aren’t always what they seem.

A mysterious new star is ready to make her entrance, the like of which no one has seen, or heard, before.

HighTime returns bringing a new English version of Rossini’s intoxicating opera to life, fresh with a touch of Hollywood glamour, front page drama and just a sprinkling of jazz hands.

Sung in new English translation. All performances are captioned/surtitled. Running time: approx .2h 15mins (including interval).

A Relaxed Performance of Cinderella will be on Friday 28 Oct at 2.15pm. For more information on Relaxed Performances, please see the extra information tab. There is also a theatre story attachment – if you want an introduction to the theatre, just take a look.

What is a relaxed performance?

A relaxed performance is specifically designed to be an open and welcoming environment for those audience members who may enjoy, or benefit from, a more relaxed performance style. This includes those with Autism Spectrum Conditions, sensory and communication disorders, learning disabilities, dementia, or other conditions. These shows are for everyone, including families with small children.

In a relaxed performance, audiences are asked to be aware of individual’s needs to move or make involuntary noise. We may make some small changes to light and sound effects.

What is available to support my attendance at a relaxed performance?

  • Videos of the front of house of the theatre and the stage space.
  • Images of set and costumes for the production.
  • Large font copies of the show script.
  • We can arrange familiarisation visits by request for those for whom a new environment may cause anxiety.
