Back to School: CRUSH In Rehearsal

Posted on 21 August 2015

Last week, the Belgrade and The Public Reviews went back to school for the day to visit the CRUSH cast and creative team at their rehearsal room in London. This brand new musical comedy, set in Dame Dorothea Dosserdale School for Girls in 1963, is preparing to open at the Belgrade Theatre on 4th September. Starring Rosemary Ashe and Sara Crowe, CRUSH is a coming-of-age romp that celebrates schoolgirl friendships and fighting for what you believe in!

Armed with tuck shop treats for the journey and our very own ‘prefect’ badges, we were delighted to be spending the day in DETENTION with the cast of CRUSH! On arrival at the venue we were treated to a sneaky preview of the show including three spectacular musical numbers and an impressive tap routine to the song ‘Navy Knicks’. We then enjoyed our packed lunches whilst chatting to the creative team including Director Anna Linstrum, Writer Maureen Chadwick, Musical Supervisor Steven Edis and Choreographer Richard Roe.

Take a look at some of our tweets from our jolly good school trip below and see rehearsal photos in the Image & Video Gallery!
