First Look - A View From A Bridge Opens in Nottingham

This week marked the opening of the new U.K tour of Arthur Miller’s iconic masterpiece, A View From A Bridge in Nottingham. The production, which marks the centenary of Arthur Miller’s birth, will star Jonathan Guy Lewis stars as Eddie Carbone, a stalwart of British TV drama whose credits include the TV series Soldier, Soldier, London’s Burning and Coronation Street. He will be joined on stage by television favourite Michael Brandon, best known for playing Demspey in the long-running British crime drama Dempsey & Makepeace.

Set in the dangerous and mysterious world of New York’s Brooklyn harbour in the 1950s where the lives of dockworkers and longshoremen, many recent immigrants to the United States, played out.

Regarded as a one of Arthur Miller’s greatest plays, this gripping and passionate drama ranks as one of the great classics of our time.
