Props required! Can you help us to create City Final?

Posted on 7 June 2018

With just over a month to go until our Read All About It! performance takeover of the Coventry Evening Telegraph Building, we’re now in the process of turning designs into reality, with costumes and sets beginning to come together.

But we need your help to get things finished! As they look back over more than 50 years of history in their ambitious promenade production City Final, our youth and community groups are on the hunt for some vintage props to help them transport audiences back in time.

We’re looking for generous individuals or organisations willing to either lend or donate any of the following in time for Monday 25 June, ahead of the show itself which runs 10-14 July:

Cardboard boxes (any size)
A 1970s or 80s photocopier
A 1970s or 80s square kitchen table with four chairs
Vintage typewriters
Newspaper front page A-frame boards
Computer monitors from the 1980s and 90s (ideally working)
Angle-poise lamps
Any office furniture dating from the 70s, 80s, 90s or 2000s

Collections can be arranged for any bulky or heavy objects, and we’re happy to return any items loaned to us – we’d aim to send things back by late July or early August.

If you think you can help out, please email, explaining what you’re able to lend or donate, ideally with a photograph. You can also call our friendly Community and Education team on 024 7684 6741.

City Final runs 10-14 July as part of Read All About It! at the Coventry Evening Telegraph Building. Tickets for the show are available to book now.
