Volunteers Week 2017

Posted on 7 June 2017

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK, this year taking place from the 1-7 June.

To celebrate, the Belgrade want to shout about the fantastic contributions of Rose, Andrew, Berta, Tara, Chris, Sarah and Esme, Coventry University Media Students that have been volunteering their time to join us in our weekly drama sessions for over 50s, part of our Arts Gymnasium project, to create a documentary exhibition about the project.

We are very excited that the exhibition and documentary film screening will take place this Saturday 10th June at 7pm at Albany Theatre in Coventry.

The event is free to attend, and will include a performance of Wealth is Health from Collective Encounters.

Of her experiences volunteering with the Belgrade’s Arts Gymnasium, Rose says,

“The opportunity to become part of a significant socially engaged project feels like a milestone in my experience at university, one I am most proud of.”
