Heard about our free creative workshops for over 50s?

Posted on 5 March 2012

Creative Gymnasium (50+) is an exciting participatory arts project specifically designed for people aged 50 years old and over. Developed by the Belgrade Theatre and in partnership with Age UK, this project will provide opportunities for people age 50 and over to meet, develop new creative skills and then share them with others.

Led by Project Manager and theatre practitioner Antonia Beck, participants will explore a range of physical creative exercises, as well as taking part in group discussion, and delving into the art of storytelling and reminiscence theatre. This will culminate with the creation of a brand new performance which will be directed by Antonia Beck and will see participants use the skills they have developed to create a production which not only reflects the 50+ community in Coventry, but is also based on individual experiences. This will then be shown at the Belgrade Theatre in June 2012.

If you would like to find out more about the project and how you can get involved then come along to one of the free workshops taking place at the Belgrade on Friday’s from 11am – 12pm and Mondays (from 26 March). To register your interest please contact Antonia Beck on 024 7684 6735 or abeck@belgrade.co.uk
