Russian State Ballet

Giselle, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker

The highly acclaimed Russian State Ballet return to the Belgrade with three fantastic ballets accompanied by a live, 30 piece orchestra.

On Thursday 1 November, our Main Stage hosts Swan Lake – a timeless ballet with exquisite dancing. One hundred and thirty-five years ago audiences heard Swan Lake by the great Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky for the very first time. From that moment on, the world of ballet would never be the same.

On Friday 2 November we have Giselle – A Romantic Ballet in which love triumphs over betrayal. This is an opportunity for ballet lovers to see Giselle as never before. Former award-winning Bolshoi Ballet Soloist Konstantin Uralsky has created an original production with a new twist to this classical ballet, with new set and superb, handmade costumes.

On Saturday 3 November we’ll be presenting one of the most popular ballet’s of all time, The Nutcracker. Snow flurries, sweets, princes, magic and love are just some of the elements that will be brought together by this renowned Russian company. A highly accessible ballet, full of familiar music such as the Waltz of the Flowers and the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
