We opened our doors early on Tuesday 9 February and welcomed businesses from across Coventry and Warwickshire to attend our third Annual Networking Breakfast.
The event, which has been running since the theatre reopened following its £14m redevelopment, attracted around 70 business people from a variety of companies located in the region.
David Jane, Head of Development at the Belgrade Theatre explained, “The Breakfast is an opportunity for businesses to come together to network and to learn more about the Belgrade Theatre and what it has to offer the region’s business community.
“The Theatre offers superb facilities for anything from 8 to 850 people. As well as being able to accommodate smaller events in its meeting rooms, it is also able to host large scale conferences in its auditoria, supported by lighting, sound, front of house, catering and Box Office professionals, all under one roof.”
The Chair of the Belgrade Theatre’s Business Development Committee and partner at Alsters Kelley Solicitors, Geoff Brooke-Taylor, was also present to discuss why his company had become involved with the theatre’s business membership scheme, the Directors’ Club, and to encourage other companies to do likewise.
“The Belgrade is key to the regeneration agenda of the city and region and plays an important role in attracting and maintaining high quality employees to the area.
“Businesses should be supporting their theatre, not just for the tangible benefits, such as the exposure to the audiences and tickets to entertain clients, but also because it relies on our support to develop its exciting variety of drama, which is fast making it one of the country’s leading producing houses.”
Businesses who would like to learn more about how they can engage with the Belgrade Theatre should contact David Jane, Head of Development at the theatre on 024 7684 6722 or by emailing djane@belgrade.co.uk.
