Inspiring the Next Generation
The Belgrade Theatre strongly champions the right of every young person to engage with their world through drama – supporting their education, inspiring their imagination and developing key social and employment skills. Fifty years ago, the Belgrade pioneered the Theatre in Education movement, using theatre as a means to inspire curiosity in young people and support their learning about the world around them, and have remained a leader in the provision of participatory community arts ever since.
It is vital that this work continues, but it cannot do so without your help.
With half of the £500,000 overall target already secured, the Inspiring the Next Generation campaign is now seeking to raise the remaining £250,000 to secure the work of the Belgrade’s Community & Education Company, for the next three years.
Peter Deeley, Managing Director of Deeley Group says
As a passionate ambassador, I hope the valuable work of the Belgrade’s Community & Education Company not only survives but thrives. I am inspired to help the young people in Coventry and Warwickshire because I have seen the hugely positive effects and invaluable life skills that are taught though the Community & Education Company. I hope you also feel inspired to do the same.
