Acting Classes

Youth Acting Classes – Autumn Term

The theme for our Autumn Term is Slapstick Comedy. Inspired by the Belgrade’s hilarious annual Panto, participants will work towards creating their very own theatrical comedy classic.

Saturday 24 Sept to Saturday 3 Dec (No class 29 Oct)
Cost: £80 per term, per person which is only £8 per class!

Ages 8 – 11: 10.15am – 11.45am
Ages 11 – 16: Midday – 1.30pm

Youth Acting Classes – Spring Term

Inspired by the Belgrade’s production of Ostrich Boys, the theme of our Spring Term is From Story to Stage. Over the 10 week term, participants will explore classic children’s books and work towards creating a brand-new stage adaptation.

Saturday 21 Jan to Saturday 1 Apr (No class 25 Feb)
Cost: £80 per term, per person which is only £8 per class!

Ages 8 – 11: 10.15am – 11.45am

Holiday Camps

The Belgrade’s Holiday Camps are action-packed with drama games and practical activities to keep young people entertained during the school holidays.

Summer School 2016

This year Summer School will be themed around Shakespeare as we celebrate the 400th anniversary of our great Bard’s death. These fun and energetic workshops will make Shakespeare fun and accessible for all ages. Participants will learn new skills, expand their physical awareness and make new friends.

October Camp Autumn 2016

There’s spooky goings-on at the Belgrade this October as we delve into the history and horror of Ghosts and Ghouls. Exploring spaces in and around the Belgrade, participants will create a Halloween inspired short performance to frighten their family and friends.

February Half Term Camp Spring 2017

Inspired by Valentine’s Day, this February we’ll be celebrating our love for… Coventry! Participants will discuss all the things they love about our city – from Lady Godiva to Two-Tone, CCFC to Coventry Cathedral, and not forgetting the Belgrade!
Participants will then create a new piece of theatre for family and friends to demonstrate exactly why We ♥ Cov!

Easter Camp Spring 2017

Where did the tiger get his stripes? Where did the Easter Bunny come from? Learn the answers to these questions and more at our Easter Camp, where we’ll be exploring Animal Myths and Mysteries.

May Camp Summer 2017

During our May Camp we’ll be looking at the wonderfully weird world of Masks. Over two days participants will make their own unique theatre masks and showcase them in a short performance for family and friends.

Summer School 2017

This year the theme of our Summer School is Hidden Histories.

You think you know who invented the light bulb.. discovered penicillin… powered the first plane..? Think again! Over five days participants will learn about famous inventions claimed by other people and use these stories to create their own piece of theatre to perform in front of family and friends.
