Audition Opportunity

MonologueSlam UK is an industry showcase for actors from all backgrounds. Twenty actors are given the opportunity to perform for a welcoming audience and a panel of industry professionals, who can give you your first big break.

If you’d like to showcase your talent to our industry panel (including agents, directors and casting directors), then all you need to do find a monologue and come to the auditions! We are looking for performers for both the Youth Round (age 11-17) and the adult rounds (age 18+).

Age 18+

Audition date: Saturday 13th October 2018, slots available between 10am and 5pm.

Venue: The Belgrade Theatre

What you need to prepare:

  • 3 Minute Round Auditions – Come prepared with a 3 minute monologue. This must be the monologue you will perform at the show.
  • 1 Minute Round Auditions – Come prepared with a shortened 1 minute version of your 3 minute piece. There is a time limit during the audition. Your monologue can be from a play, a TV show, a film, or one you’ve written yourself – it’s totally up to you.

You will audition in a group of 20 actors, each performing your monologue in front of the group. The audition will last about 45 minutes. To book your audition go to: http://monologueslamuk.com/event/coventry-auditions/

Age 11-17

Audition date: Friday 12th October 2018, 5-6pm or 6-7pm.

Venue: The Belgrade Theatre

What you need to prepare:

To take part in the Youth Round you must prepare a 1 minute monologue from a play, a TV show, or written by yourself. Please make sure you know the author of the monologue.

You will audition in a group of 20 actors, each performing your monologue in front of the group. The audition will last about 45 minutes.

  • Your name
  • Your age
  • Your parent/guardian email/phone number
  • The name of the play TV show or film your monologue is from and the author. (If you’ve written it yourself, give it a title and tell us it’s by you).
  • Specify which time you would like to audition, 5pm or 6pm
