Our Adult Acting Classes are the perfect way to develop new skills, stretch your creativity, build your confidence and have lots of fun.
Running weekly at the Belgrade Theatre, our Adult Acting Classes have been devised in accordance with government guidelines on COVID-19.
The theme of our Autumn term is Creating and Performing New Characters. Many characters have been born inside the walls of the Belgrade, coming to life through scenes devised by artists and performed across the building. After a period of lockdown where creativity within the building ceased temporarily, the Belgrade is hugely excited to invite you to create and perform your own original characters as part of this term’s Adult Acting Classes. Over the course of the term, you will explore how existing characters have been brought to life, borrowing techniques and developing skills that allow you to create your own characters, and then step into their shoes to perform their words. The sessions will combine drama games and exercises, devising and performance, and will explore skills in acting for stage and for screen.
Our Adult Acting Classes are designed in accordance with government advice on social distancing, with the safety of participants and staff our top priority. Depending on the changing COVID-19 situation, these workshops have been created in such a way as to be moved online at any point should that be necessary. Please note, the work can only currently be shared digitally with family/friends in an ‘invited-only’ capacity, and will be made available as part of the final session. All participants will receive additional information about what to expect under these COVID-19 circumstances ahead of the start of sessions.
Please note, places are limited so early booking is essential.
