We have fantastic opportunities for two Freelance Producers and a Freelance Assistant Producer to join our team!
Following a successful Garfield Weston application, and a series of conversations with local artists about barriers to making creative projects happen, the Belgrade is supporting two Freelance Producers and one Assistant Producer to work with some of Coventry’s emerging companies and freelance artists to support core activity, organisational development capacity-building and sustainability.
An aspect of the role will also involve working with the Belgrade to secure funding and/or partnerships to continue and grow as a Producer. This is in acknowledgement that we are living in a time where creative workers are being forced to leave the industry, and with the hope that if we can offer a means to support the “essential work that is difficult to fund”, we can better enable artists to deliver exciting, high quality artistic projects and ensure the creative capital of the region is retained and developed.
It is also our hope that these appointments can play a part in addressing the lack of representation in the industry, work to balance a healthier relationship between venues and freelancers, and ensure a legacy of skills for the city and region post COVID and City of Culture 2021.
We have three positions currently available.
