Join us at the Belgrade for our fun weekly Arts Gymnasium sessions for over 50s, promoting positive well-being through imagination and movement.
These sessions are an opportunity to share stories, stay active and start new friendships by participating in a variety of theatre activities. No previous drama experience is necessary to take part.
The two groups we run are:
- Drama activities and storytelling
- Drama for early stage dementia
We also host the following groups:
Friendship group
During lockdown, The Friendship group are still able to meet at the Belgrade. They plan a variety of different fun activities to stimulate mind, body and well-being; from trips out to talks and sessions held in the theatre. Sessions are held every Thursday from 12pm until 1pm.
Play reading group
Before the first lockdown, a small group used to meet at the Belgrade and enjoy reading plays. They met on Monday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm.
Since March, a new play reading group has been organised on Zoom, and now takes place on Mondays from 6pm until 7:30pm. You can find more information about the Zoom play reading group here.
New members are always welcome, so please feel free to join in.
