SkyLines is delighted to be working in association with The Poetry Book Society to present a very special evening of poetry from two of contemporary poetry’s most illuminating and widely acclaimed voices, Hannah Lowe and Raymond Antrobus – both of whom were recent PBS Choices and Recommendations for their current poetry collections.

Hannah Lowe’s recent Costa Book award-winning poetry collection The Kids reflects on coming of age in the riotous 80s and 90s and a decade teaching in an inner-city London sixth form, with compassionate and energetic sonnets creating fictionalised portraits of ‘The Kids’ at its heart. “a book to fall in love with – it’s joyous, it’s warm and it’s completely universal.” – Reeta Chakrabarti, Chair of Judges, 2021 Costa Book of the Year

Raymond Antrobus, winner of the Sunday Times Young Writer Award 2019, the Rathbone Folio Prize and the Ted Hughes Prize for Poetry with his debut The Perseverance, has recently published All The Names Given, a new collection of timely, humane and tender poems which The Guardian describes as “a deeply evocative collection that will linger in the reader’s mind.”
