We are now starting to programme socially distanced shows both inside and outside the theatre. Our café is also open and serving food and drinks in our spacious foyers.

UPDATE: 22/10/2020

As Coventry goes into Tier 2, we want to reassure you that we’re still open and carefully following all of the latest government guidelines to ensure that everyone can continue to enjoy our shows safely.

Please note that you may now only be seated with other members of your household or support bubble. If you have any queries about your upcoming visit to the Belgrade, please contact boxoffice@belgrade.co.uk.

Safety remains our top priority, and we have signed up to UK Theatre’s See It Safely initiative to help protect our staff, audiences and participants. You can find out more about the measures we have put in place on our Keeping You Safe page.

We are looking forward to welcoming audiences back for our first socially distanced performances this October, with events scheduled to take place both inside and outside the building. Visit our What’s On section to see what’s coming up.

However, we regret to confirm that due to ongoing restrictions on indoor performances, we have made the decision to postpone our 2020 pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, until 2021, along with a number of other shows from our Autumn 2020 Season. You can read a statement from our Artistic Director here.

Nevertheless, we will still have an exciting Christmas offer this year, with Jack and the Beanstalk Online bringing the magic of panto into your own home, while on our Main Stage, we’ll be hosting socially distanced performances of Santa’s Christmas Rescue.

We have now attempted to contact everyone who has booked tickets for shows that have been postponed or cancelled. A full list of affected shows can be found below. If you have purchased tickets for a performance which is no longer taking place, please check your email inbox for further communications from us.

If you have not yet heard from us about a cancelled or postponed performance, please let us know by emailing boxoffice@belgrade.co.uk. Please note that phone lines remain closed while our staff continue to work from home.

This situation has obviously put the Theatre under huge financial strain so if you feel able to donate part or all of the cost of your tickets it is very much appreciated. You can also make a donation to the Belgrade to help us through this difficult time.

If you can’t make a donation at this time, you can also support us by making sure you’re signed up for email and postal updates from us so we can get in touch with all the details as soon as they’re available.

In the meantime please visit our café and follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, where we’re providing all kinds of fun and engaging activity.

We want to assure everyone that the health and safety of our visitors and staff continues to be our priority. We are currently adhering to all guidelines issued by the British Government and Public Health England regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) risks. You can read more about the steps we are taking here.

The Belgrade Theatre Trust is a registered charity (number 219163). This means that all the money given, raised or earned is not distributed as profit but kept and reinvested in the work that we do. We rely on the continued support of our audiences, funders, corporate partners, Members and donors to ensure that we can continue to develop our artistic and education work and remain central to the communities that we serve.  Our normal terms and conditions continue to apply and refunds or credits will be made for any cancelled performances.

We are monitoring this fast changing situation daily and will continue to review the situation. Thank you for your patience and for your continued support.
