Join us at the Belgrade Theatre for a week of free family fun, creativity, and hands-on workshops this May half term, including:

Family Trail

Tue 26 – Sat 30, drop in between 10am-5pm daily 

Age Recommendation: 3+

Join us for a free, family-friendly woodland detective trail.

A silver leaf has gone missing and Belle the Belgrade Dove needs your help!

Pick up your trail from Box Office, then follow clues around the theatre, meet woodland animals, complete activities and uncover the mystery of the lost silver leaf.

With creative challenges and a sticker prize at the end, it’s the perfect half-term adventure for curious families and young explorers. Can you solve the mystery?

 

Character Design Workshop

Wed 27 May: 10am – 12.30pm: Book Here , 1.30pm – 3pm: Book Here

Age Recommendation: 7-12

What does it take to create a popular children’s book character? Join local illustrator Jessica Hartshorn (Jessi Illustrates) to learn how to invent your own character from your imagination. The session will include drawing games, illustration techniques, drawing and painting a new character inspired by our current show ‘The Gruffalo’. Participants will take home their fantastic creations.

 

Family Draw Along

Thu 28 May: 10am, 11am, 11.45am (45 mins each)

Location: Upstairs Foyer

Age Recommendation: 4+

Join Jessi Illustrates for fun, interactive, step by step drawing sessions.

All you need is a pencil and paper and Jessi will guide you through sketching techniques to create a range of nature and Gruffalo inspired illustrations. Perfect for the whole family, no need to book, just drop in and get creative!

 

Nature Makers

Thu 28 May & Fri 29 May, drop in between 11am – 3pm

Location: Upstairs Foyers

Age Recommendation: Suitable for all ages
