Work Experience – Week Long Placements

We support local young people aged 16+ in providing work experience opportunities. This is a rolling programme that offers young people the chance to engage in a work based placement designed to give the student basic knowledge and skills for working in the theatre industry.

We are committed to making sure that our work experience is inclusive and accessible for everyone. Please email communityadmin@belgrade.co.uk if you have any questions about the programme.

We will be inviting our next round of work experience applications from January 2024. Please check back in nearer the time for more information.

Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships at the Belgrade Theatre are aimed at non-graduates and offer a unique opportunity to gain a wide range of transferrable skills which can be used in later employment, as well as a greater understanding of the theatre industry.

For more information on what Apprenticeships we are currently recruiting for, or for any other work opportunities, please go to our Job & Opportunities page.

Graduate & University Student Placements

The theatre offers longer placements to students aged over 18. Placements are usually connected to a specific department relevant to the student’s course, to enable them to gain experience on graduation. Students must apply by CV and covering letter.

“Whilst I worked at the Belgrade, there was so much support and a genuine interest in how I was progressing. There was never a dull day and I felt very lucky to be part of one of the most interesting, fun and diverse apprenticeships around.”

– Andrew Lawson, Former Operations Apprentice
