Demystifying Arts Council Funding

Fri 25 Jul 2025

Part of See It First 2025.

Join Blindspot Nights’ Georgia Kelly for an expansive and critical deep-dive into Arts Council England’s (ACE) <£30k Project Grants applications. This workshop is open to all but will focus on Georgia’s specialism in theatre projects, including funding Blindspot’s work, their own R&D’s as a playwright, and writing/managing bids for diverse creative projects as a freelancer.

ACE funding often feels complicated and overwhelming, and it’s easy to feel intimidated. This workshop is designed to demystify the bid-writing process. This session seeks to bring clarity to official guidance, explore strategies, and understand ACE decision making. Whether you’re refining a current application or wanting more advice before starting your first, this workshop aims to equip you with the tools and mindset to take your next steps with confidence.

Blindspot Nights are a Belgrade Springboard company. They create scratch nights, workshops, and resources for working/under-class theatre-makers, seeking to change how we engage with class as a sector and level the playing field. Part of that work includes demystifying Arts Council funding and supporting working/under-class theatre-makers to access vital grants.

After the workshop, join us for two incredible See It First performances, Lovett in our new performance space, the Jag, and Consumed (previews) in our B2 auditorium. Tickets are bookable via the links.
