After Sunday: Visual Artist Commission

Recipes for Recovery, part of After Sunday’s wider work, is a series of creative workshops that invite different communities to explore the themes of food, memory, and healing. While the story behind After Sunday is rooted in experiences of trauma and justice involvement, these workshops are open to all, offering a shared space for connection and reflection to inform the mural.

The Belgrade is seeking a visual artist with facilitation skills to create an interactive mural that will be installed across two long window panels outside B2, before being transferred to the Bush Theatre in London.

This mural will be rooted in the stories and themes emerging from the workshops, offering a dynamic space for audiences to reflect and contribute throughout the run of After Sunday.

The artwork will grow over time, capturing audience reflections during the After Sunday run.

Examples of prompts that could be used to capture audience reflections:
• “My recipe for a better world includes…”
• “The last meal I shared with love was…”
