The Belgrade Theatre Coventry is seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant who will provide effective administrative and financial support to the Finance Team, with a particular focus on accounts payable processes and the accurate recording and reconciliation of financial information.

The postholder will play an important role in ensuring invoices are processed promptly and accurately, supplier accounts are maintained, and financial information is recorded appropriately. The role will work closely with colleagues across the Theatre and will provide holiday cover for Accounts Payable when required.

This is a hands-on role within a small and dedicated Finance Team.


 

Salary : £13.45 per hour

Department: Finance Team

Contract: Fixed Term – 5 months with the possibility of becoming permanent

Reports to: Head of Finance

Location: Belgrade Theatre, Coventry

The role is offered at 16 hours per week, with flexibility around the days worked. Ideally, the successful candidate will work 4 hours per day, across 4 days per week. Monday and Tuesday are essential working days due to the requirements of invoice processing, with flexibility around the remaining two days.

Key Objectives

  • Support the Finance Team with accurate and timely accounts payable processing.
  • Process supplier invoices efficiently using Lightyear AP software.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support reconciliations.
  • Assist with the recording and monitoring of catering income.
  • Provide holiday cover for Accounts Payable.
  • Support the wider Finance Team with additional administrative and financial tasks as required.
