NT Connections Regional Festival: Belgrade Theatre

This year Coventry is celebrating being UK City of Culture so it makes this festival extra special.

After an enormously challenging year, we are so excited to be with you albeit virtually to enjoy two days of theatre made in the most difficult of circumstances by hugely talented teams of young people. We have tried to create a Festival in collaboration with the companies involved, listening to what participants need and want from their Regional Festival experience and bearing in mind the many hurdles participants have had to jump to get here.

As such, we have tried to keep it simple and limit the time online so you are not staring at a screen or wrestling with wifi all day! We also felt it was important to find moments of connection where we can with brief introductions bringing us altogether at the beginning of each day and forums for youth theatre groups to talk to each other and share their journeys at the end of each day.

On this page, you will find the schedule for the two days. Follow the links to each day of the festival to get access to the shows and intros, and information about the amazing companies and their journeys rehearsing and performing their NT Connections shows.

While we can’t all be in a room, we encourage you to share supportive messages and celebrate the work and discussions we are having on socials using some of the handles/hashtags below.
