Digital Media Academy

Are you interested in video production?

Step into the digital world with Belgrade Theatre’s Digital Media Academy. Whether you’re a bedroom content creator or an established media artist, this programme is designed for everyone – including those who have a love for digital media but lack the resources or confidence to get started.

Led by industry professionals, our 20-week programme will guide you through the journey of taking your ideas from script to screen. Sessions will run from 7-9pm on Wednesday evenings commencing in the week beginning 30 September.

No previous experience is needed.
We will provide the resources; you bring the creativity.

So, whether you’re an aspiring filmmaker or just curious about the digital world, come join us, unlock your creative potential, and gain practical experience in the exciting realm of digital media production!

Who is this for?
This workshop is designed for anybody aged 18+ who:
· Enjoys creating content,
· Has an interest in film/video production,
· Wants to get a better understanding of digital media creation,.
· Would like to know how to create, shoot and edit video.

The Programme
Through a combination of masterclasses, online resources and project-based work, participants will gain:
· a broad understanding of the digital creative process,
· practical experience,
· a piece of work to begin/ add to a portfolio,
· industry contacts,
· an understanding of the freelance life.

What are the wider opportunities?
As a Media Academy participant, you could have the chance to:
· Meet with the Creative Director of The Belgrade Theatre,
· Interview cast members of our shows,
· Access rehearsal rooms,
· Take part in the research & development days of Belgrade shows,
· Do a Belgrade social media take-over,
· Visit a professional film set.

The Digital Media Academy is a fully-funded programme and is free to participants.
