We've teamed up with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust for Like There's No Tomorrow, with 10% of donations going to their Nature Recovery Fund.
This month, the Belgrade Youth Theatre present a digital rendering of Like There’s No Tomorrow, a climate-conscious play co-created by our Young Company in 2020. Tickets are free but donations to the Belgrade Theatre will be gratefully welcomed.
We’ve decided to team up with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust to help support their vital work.
In response to the three biggest threats that our planet has ever faced; the ecological crisis, the climate crisis and the human health crisis, the Trust have launched their Nature Recovery Fund which aims to create new nature reserves and bring wildlife back to Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.
10% of all donations will go to the Nature Recovery Fund, which will enable Warwickshire Wildlife Trust to buy land of low wildlife value, improve it by restoring lost habitats, and reconnect people with nature at an unprecedented scale. They aim to double the land the manage for wildlife by 2030. Where in the past they have saved special places, this new land will be for the creation of special places.
“Warwickshire Wildlife Trust are delighted to have been chosen by Belgrade Theatre Coventry to receive a donation from the screening of Like There’s No Tomorrow. The production shines a spotlight on the failure of people to live in harmony with nature, and the consequences of this imbalance. Globally we are facing some of the biggest interconnecting threats to our natural world, namely the ecological crisis and the climate crisis, made worse by the disconnection of people with nature. Warwickshire Wildlife Trust have launched a £3million Nature Recovery Fund Appeal to buy land of low wildlife value, improve this land by restoring lost habitats and reconnect people with nature at a scale we have not done before. Any donations made to Like There’s No Tomorrow will help us to take local action in response to the global problems facing our natural world.”
