Summer School – Week 2

Mon 14 - Fri 18 Aug 2023

Belgrade Theatre Summer School is back!

Summer School is our annual week-long (Monday – Friday) theatre workshop, open to young people aged 8 – 17!

Whether you’ve performed on stage lots of times before, or whether you want to try something new, Summer School gives an opportunity for each young person to shine.

Participants will take part in practical drama sessions, led by professional theatre-makers. Each day we will develop our performance skills, and we will create our own brand-new piece of theatre which we will share with an invited audience of family and friends on the Friday afternoon.

Taking part in Summer School is a really exciting way to spend a week of the Summer Holidays. Participants are able to spend time in a welcoming and supportive space, where they can develop confidence, improve their team-working skills, make new friends, and have lots of fun!

Previous Summer School participants have gone on to be part of our regular Youth Acting Classes, Theatre HUBS and Creative Youth Forum.

We are committed to making sure that Summer School is inclusive and accessible for everyone. Please email communityadmin@belgrade.co.uk if you have any questions about the programme.

This year, we will be running a familiarisation day before the Summer School starts. The familiarisation day will allow participants to meet the team who will be running the workshops, see the spaces where we will be working, and ask any questions they may have about the week.

Places for Summer School are limited, so early booking is recommended.

We will be running an additional week of Summer School on the week commencing Monday 7 August. Find out more.
