Join our Theatre HUB for Over 60s!
Take part in the Belgrade’s weekly drama sessions, running from October 2025 – June 2026 (term time only), in collaboration with The Performance Ensemble, founded by Alan Lyddiard in 2016. Known for creating bold contemporary theatre that puts the voices and experiences of older people centre stage, they challenge perceptions of age and ageing. The programme will culminate in a special performance at the end of May.
As HUBs members, participants will have opportunities to develop their theatre-making and performance skills, meet new people, explore new and different forms of theatre, and work towards making a high-quality piece for performance at the Belgrade’s annual Theatre HUBs sharing.
HUBs members will also receive:
- Free tickets on selected home-produced and co-produced shows.
- Discounts on tickets to other shows.
- 10% discount at the café.
- The opportunity to co-create new work and perform to an audience.
- Invites to exclusive Belgrade events.
No previous experience is necessary to take part. For more information about the Belgrade’s HUBs programme can be found in the Take Part section of our website.
Bursaries:
Full and partial bursaries are available for those who would not otherwise be able to access the programme. You can apply for a bursary here. The final submission date for bursary applications is Mon 20 Oct 2025. New for this year, we’re also introducing a separate Over 60s Arts & Health Group. This group focuses on creativity, wellbeing, and connection, rather than working towards a final performance. Sessions will run from October 2025 – May 2026, with bookings taken term by term (e.g. October – December).
