Part of See It First 2026
“Maybe that’s why you’re here?
Is it ‘cos I’m close?
Too close? To the truth?”
Gee is searching for signs of extra-terrestrial visitors among the grass of their local heathland, Cannock Chase, and seeking their fortune posting conspiracy theories online.
But with their devices confiscated, who can they tell and why would anyone believe them?
Set on the edge of a town on the edge of the Midlands, Chase is James Trevelyan’s one-person play about suburban isolation, social media and the lengths we go for validation.
Funded by Arts Council England. Development supported by Lichfield Garrick and Birmingham Hippodrome.
This event will take space in our exciting performance space The Jag which is located just a few doors along from the main Belgrade building on Corporation Street. If you are booking for an event in The Jag, here are a few things you need to know.
- Capacity is limited so please book in advance if you can. Tickets are available online or from the Belgrade Box Office. If you can’t book in advance there will be a pop-up Box Office at The Jag itself, if there is ticket availability.
- There is a lift to allow wheelchair access to the performance space but access is via a corridor which is 90cm wide at its narrowest point. That means we are able to accommodate most manual wheelchairs but motorised or more specialised wheelchairs may not be able to have access. We’d be happy to discuss solutions to this with artists & audience members, please contact us via boxoffice@belgrade.co.
- The Jag performance area is in the basement. It’s incredibly atmospheric but be aware that it’s a dark space with a low ceiling and no windows.
