Join award-winning writer of Bright Places, Rae Mainwaring, for a light and relaxed creative workshop exploring your own ‘bright places’ and what pockets of joy help us even in the hardest of times.
The session will be a space to have a go or make a start – so no experience or great artistic talent needed! There will be lots of chats (and biscuits) as well as writing, playing with ideas and thinking about how we tell our own stories.
We have created these workshops for people who are living with MS or a chronic illness and their friends or family but we are open to everyone who feels like they would benefit from joining us.
Bright Places is a brilliantly funny, and deeply honest, account of growing up in the shadow of chronic illness – and a story for anyone who’s ever searched for joy in the hardest of times. At the Belgrade Fri 2 Oct 2026.
