Creative Wellbeing Day 2025

Coventry came together on Wed 19 Mar, as the Belgrade hosted Creative Wellbeing Day in recognition of National Social Prescribing Day. Participating in a range of workshops gave the local community the chance to explore the transformative mental, physical, and emotional benefits of creativity, connection, and movement.

“Wellbeing means to me [...] just enjoying life, getting out, getting to know people, building confidence.”

National Social Prescribing Day celebrates the essential work of arts and health partnerships in combating factors that affect health but can’t be directly treated by medicine, such as loneliness, and debt.

Events and conversations, spanned artistic, musical, physical, performance, and socialising activities, from choir singing and gumboot dancing to a queer drama workshop and sensory crafts. Fun was had by all involved, and the day demonstrated how engaging with creative activities can enhance individuals’ lives, fostering communal belonging and personal growth.
