Work Opportunities

Work Opportunities

There are plenty of different ways to get involved with the Belgrade Theatre with a variety of career opportunities in both creative and administrative departments as well as in training and development.

There are many jobs ‘behind the scenes’ that go into running the theatre. The building is staffed from 6.30am to midnight, Monday to Saturday, with occasional Sunday opening. It is publicly funded and exists to provide cultural services to the public, to make our own productions and present the work of other theatre companies.

It is an incredibly busy environment and it is safe to say that no job is quite the same as its counterpart outside the theatre.

Apart from the actors and directors, there are numerous jobs available such as:

Wood-working – costume-making – prop-making – scenic painting – drama worker – stage-management – lighting technician – marketing – events – conferencing – operations – box office – chef – bar worker – administrator – waiter – fund-raising – accounting.

We advertise all permanent jobs on the Theatre’s website. Where appropriate we may also place ads in the local or national press. We are always interested to hear from people who want to know about working as an usher or on the bars or as a casual stage worker.

Job packs with further information and application forms can be found in the downloads section on the left of this page.
