Join the Belgrade’s in-house Theatre Hubs for a celebration of some of Shakespeare's most beloved comedies, Twelfth Night and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Along with Shakespeare’s Quill, an original play offering a comic spin on some of his most iconic characters.
Theatre Hubs are the Belgrade’s in-house programme of weekly drama workshops for young people aged 11-19 and adults aged 50+. The work has been developed as part of this year’s programme and inspired by the Belgrade’s recent production of Romeo and Juliet.

Meanwhile, Olivia’s self-important steward, Malvolio, becomes the target of a mischievous prank.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Follow four young lovers as they escape to the depths of the forest, where magic and feuding fairies await. On a summer night when anything can happen, expect surprises, spells and mistaken identity. Love will be tested, but can it be restored?
This retelling of A Midsummer Night’s Dream intertwines love triangles, magic and an infamous donkey head!

An original comedy inspired by characters from some of Shakespeare’s most famous works.
Shakespeare’s Quill, a local tavern run by the Capulet sisters. Hangout to the Witch, the Gravedigger, the Fool and a Shakespeare-hating theatre critic, among others.
The arrival of a mysterious traveller in possession of a powerful secret causes a stir among the regulars. Who are they? And why are they here?
Something wicked this way comes. The question is, what are the good people of the Shakespeare’s Quill going to do about it?
